Week 1 · Hello, Sikhi · Day 2
The Gurdwara — our shared home
A Gurdwara — “doorway of the Guru” — is the central place of learning and worship for Sikhs, and anyone is welcome, whatever their background. At the heart of every Gurdwara sits Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji, our eternal Guru. We remove our shoes at the entrance and cover our heads as a sign of love and respect, sit together on the same floor, and share langar.
Today's idea
The Gurdwara is the Guru's house, open to everyone — and the Guru lives inside us too.
